Vermont Avenue Elementary School will be recognized as a Distinguished California School where the administrators, teachers, staff, and parents are committed to providing high quality educational programs and experiences for all students in a caring, safe, and student centered learning environment.

In order to realize Vermont Avenue School vision, the learning Community is committed to creating an environment that encourages and challenges all students to build a solid foundation in literacy; become critical, creative, and innovative thinkers; explore new ideas by obtaining and processing information; have positive personal development; master curricular content; solve real-world problems; become environmentally aware; and possess effective interpersonal communication skills.
